OpenAI starts limiting how many cards and devices can use the same paid ChatGPT account

A new OpenAI help article explains that Go, Plus and Pro (100, 200 and 500) subscriptions now have a limit on payment cards and devices per account. Anyone who goes over the limit sees the “Device limit reached” notice; logging out on a device does not free up a slot, and buying credits does not remove the block. The Free, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans are not covered by the rule. The Decoder read the change as part of an effort to push users toward more paid usage.
