Drex Max does not generate text: it is a decision model that returns probabilities for the answer options. It is a dense 27-billion-parameter model under the Open RAIL-M license. The Q4 quantized version runs on Apple Silicon Macs with 24 GB or more via MLX or Kapitsa, and the GGUF Q8_0 needs 48 GB, with forks of llama.cpp and Ollama.
